All Samsung phones are now getting a cool feature from Google for free
All Samsung phones are now getting a cool feature from Google for free—a major upgrade for users across the globe. Google’s conversational AI, Gemini Live, includes a feature called Astra, which allows users to share their screen and camera in real time. Previously, this was exclusive to the Astra series of phones and Galaxy S25 users who received a 6-month free subscription to Gemini Advanced. Other Galaxy phone users could only access the feature by paying for the subscription.
Now, Google has rolled out the Astra feature for free to all Android devices, including Samsung Galaxy smartphones. You can simply download the Gemini app from the Play Store to access it. Once enabled, the feature allows you to ask Gemini Live questions about anything on your screen or through your camera—whether it’s analyzing a webpage, helping you shop, or giving feedback on an outfit you’re trying on.
Originally tied to the Gemini Advanced subscription, Astra is now accessible to all users with devices running Android 10 or higher and at least 2GB of RAM. With this update, Google brings powerful visual and real-time assistance to a much wider audience—just install the Gemini app and start exploring.
