Amazon Has Been Working on an AI Technology For a Long Time
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been a buzzword in the tech industry for quite some time now. And Amazon, one of the world’s largest e-commerce retailers, has not lagged in this revolution. The company has been working on AI technology for a long time and has made remarkable strides in this space.
In an interview with the Financial Times, Amazon’s CEO Andy Jassy shared his opinion on the discussion surrounding generative AI and ChatGPT. Jassy expressed his enthusiasm for the potential of generative AI and recognized its contribution to models like ChatGPT. He also acknowledged that many large companies with advanced technical capabilities, like Amazon, have been developing their own large-scale generative AI models for quite some time. Although Amazon is currently utilizing AI and machine learning technology successfully through products such as Alexa and CodeWhisperer, supporters of the company are worried that they are not keeping up with generative AI, as reported by the FT recently.
