WhatsApp Allows Multi Phone Support
WhatsApp allows multi phone support to its users after a long wait. For beta users only in the recent past. The company has revealed that the ability will now be globally accessible to all users. Although the feature to use a single WhatsApp account on numerous devices has been in existence for a while, it was limited to just one phone. This restriction generated complaints from users, and it has now been rectified for all customers.
Aside from opening up the feature to all users. Rather than just those involved in the beta program, nothing appears to have changed with the official launch of multi device support. And this is no bad thing; it is a simple idea that essentially extends. The multi-device support offered by the app to mobiles. In addition to the existing desktop and laptop support.
WhatsApp says:
“Our multi-device offering is getting better today with the addition of a new feature that allows users to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple phones. This was a feature that was highly requested by our users. You can now link your phone as one of up to four additional devices, just like you can link with WhatsApp on web browsers, tablets, and desktops. Each additional phone is independent and all your messages, media, and calls are end-to-end encrypted. If your primary phone is inactive for an extended period. We will automatically log you out of all additional devices.
By linking phones as companion devices, messaging becomes smoother. You can switch between phones without logging out. While, still continue your conversations seamlessly from where you left off. If you’re a small business owner. Your employees can now use the same WhatsApp Business account. And respond to customers directly from their phones. This latest update is rolling out globally and will shortly be available to everyone in the coming weeks.”
