Slimmer Galaxy S25 FE likely with this rumored change Samsung’s making
Slimmer Galaxy S25 FE Likely with This Rumored Change Samsung’s Making — Samsung may not be done yet with its Galaxy S25 lineup. While it has already unveiled four models in the series, rumors suggest that a fifth — the Galaxy S25 FE (Fan Edition) — is on the way. Known for offering near-flagship features at a more budget-friendly price, the upcoming S25 FE could be getting a major design upgrade. And if leaks are to be believed, Samsung is planning a key change that could make this the slimmest Fan Edition phone to date.
The big change? A shift to flexible OLED display panels. According to reports coming out of South Korea, Samsung is moving away from the rigid OLED panels used in previous FE models and adopting thinner, flexible OLED screens. Unlike the foldable panels in Samsung’s Z-series devices, these flexible displays don’t bend — but they do allow for a much slimmer form factor thanks to their lack of hard substrates.
This is a strategy already seen in Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S phones, and bringing it to the S25 FE could result in a device that’s just 7.4mm thick — noticeably thinner than its predecessor’s 8.0mm. Alongside other internal improvements, this move could make the S25 FE not just slimmer, but also more visually polished and comfortable to hold, giving it a true premium feel without the flagship price.
Additionally, recent reports highlight that the phone will feature a 6.7-inch display with even thinner bezels, boosting screen real estate and adding to the immersive experience. These design upgrades could further differentiate the S25 FE from Samsung’s more affordable Galaxy A models. While it’s unlikely to be revealed at this week’s Unpacked event — which will spotlight Samsung’s new foldables — the Galaxy S25 FE is expected to make its debut sometime around September or October.
