JBL Bar 2.1 SpecSheet EnglishThe sound quality for movies is very good. If you’re looking for top notch sound for music you can likely do better. It’s not bad, but there is a distinct difference between movies and music. There is a JBL Bar 2.1 with more bass that is available for considerably more money, but the bass on this item is more than adequate for my medium sized basement. The wireless sub balances well with the sound bar and the connection is easy. Overall I am very pleased with this product.
USI’ll take this over the SONOS Playbar, it’s costs 1/3 the price and sounds AMAZING.Set up was a breeze, I plugged in my optical and the sub paired automatically. I’ve been listening to music for the last 2 hours, the bass is room shaking and perfect, even when turned down to half.If you have the audacity to complain about this soundbar at $199, stop being frugal and spend 4 times the price for something more expensive. The rest of us understand the value for this system FAR surpasses the price and will continue to enjoy our movies and music.
USI bought this sound bar to use with a 2019 Samsung 58" UHD TV which has downward facing speakers. Installation was easy. I purchased an HDMI cable to be able to use the HDMI (ARC) connection. Once the TV and sound bar were powered on, the TV immediately recognized the sound bar and adjusted its sound source setting. The wireless sub-woofer paired with the sound bar immediately and flawlessly. The Samsung TV remote was active for the sound bar right away also. I purchased the 2019 sound bar, for both price(!) and the "voice" sound profile which enhances frequencies in the voice range. Also includes profiles for: Standard, Music, Movies, ... (others?!?). This was a great deal & experience for me.

USThis thing is pretty good quality for the price. This was a downgrade for me, my 7 year old Samsung 5.1 system went out recently. I didn't want to pay another 500 for a whole blu-ray player/5.1 system so this is a good compromise. Great quality sound even though it's only the front speakers and a subwoofer.

USOkay this is one of the best pieces of sound equipment I have ever bought besides my mom's husband Rick's Yamaha soundbar this thing gets the job done for my less than 40 square foot room it sounds absolutely amazing throughout the range of music whether you're playing dubstep or Rock or listening to the movies it really brings that theater experience to life 300 watts of power is definitely plenty of you have a small room this thing really rattles the hubcaps on my walls literally when you have dubstep crank to the max JBL is an awesome brand would definitely buy this again
USI went from an old 800 watt Sony surround sound system to this JBL 2.1 bar and sub system to simplify and declutter wires and make my entertainment center look cleaner. This JBL bar and sub sounds Amazing! Coming from a more complex surround system, I am not disappointed with this. Especially when I crank it up loud. I knew JBL makes good stuff so I didn't think I could go to wrong and for the price being reduced because of this being an older model... it seems like a steal. I recommend.
