I just ordered two new iPhone SE 2020s for my wife and me. I have not, however, been able top find a screen protector that fits correctly and adheres completely. I ordered this product after being disappointed with another product I have used before . . . and with which I have been very happy. I was led to believe from the description of the Whitestone Dome Glass protector that it has been produced specifically to fit the SE. I have unfortunately not found that to be true. The so-called "halo effect" seems to be a bit less than with the previous product, but it is still there. I'm still searching!
USThis brand has a decent reputation so I thought maybe they had created the first screen protector to actually work on an iPhone SE 2020. I've tried three brands now, all of them have either popped up around the edges (apparently this is called a "halo effect") or been too thick and bulky around the Home button.At first I was really disappointed because, again, I had the edges sticking up. But after Googling about this issue, everyone was advising me to apply a thin coating of olive oil around the edge to seal down the corners. I thought this was a joke (I'm new to iPhones) but if you YouTube it, there is a lot of advice and tutorials and apparently this is a common issue. I figured it was worth a shot and, to my shock, it actually worked. I'm amazed and I think they should advertise this fix, because I was ready to give them one star and return this product until I tried this solution.I couldn't be happier. This glass is thin enough to not feel obtrusive on the Home button, and all sides stick down completely now. Please Google the olive oil thing before returning this product. I'm so glad I did!
