Very goodBut not much fasterFor an iPad 12. 9🤷♂️
I bought this charger because the properitary charging port on my Dell XPS 15 9560 broke for the second time. Rather than open it up again and fix it, I decided to get something that could charge my laptop via USB-C. This works great and my laptop doesn't lose charge even when I'm playing video games. The standard USB ports charge my phone (Google Pixel) in less than an hour.
Good product. But I keep getting emails from Aukey wanting to send me a replacement. I have no idea why. I’m happy with the product and didn’t register a complaint. I wish they would stop emailing me about this.
Got it as an extra charger for my laptop and other things, but ended up mounting it on my home workstation so between this one and my dock at the office I barely use the stock charger. Great product, works as advertised and is built ok.
Stopped working after about a year. Will no longer charge my ipad pro. Bummed. It was pretty expensive when I purchased it. When it worked, it worked really well. Charged my iPad so quickly. Oh well. :(UPDATE: Simply from their reading this review the company reached out to me and apologized for the problem. They informed me that my charger was still under warranty and they'd be happy to send another. They did! They also asked which ports stopped working (for me it was only the USB-C port) and if I tried other cables. To me this said they are looking at what the problems are and aiming to fix them. A+ New charger is working great.
ProsGives out near 60 watts on usb c. I can charge eco flow river at 54 watts. Two additional usb a for charging phonesExtension cord to use as desk chargerGot it tucked in the couch. Have three wires coming out to charge basically any device. USB c...lighting cable and micro usb.ConsPriceSizeThere are now better chargers on the market in terms of size, with gallium based chargers with similar power but half the size.
Works like a pro. It's expected to get a little hot.
I bought the Aukey USB-C Charger with 60W PD & Dual Port USB Charger along with a 2018 Macbook Air, with the intention to keep the Aukey charger plugged in at my desk (or hotel room) and to carry the Macbook's charger in my bag for on-the-go use. Overall, I found that this charger meets my expectations though the shared 2.4A max output on the USB-A ports is disappointing. If you're buying a USB Power Delivery capable charger for a notebook, 60W is really the minimum that you should be shopping for, especially if you plan to use charge-through peripherals like Apple's USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. These charge-through devices need power to function as well, so the amount of power going into the laptop will be reduced by 5W or so. Some non-Apple laptops will refuse to charge if the PD power adapter is below a certain size, and that magic threshold differs between manufacturers but it's often between 45W to 60W.It should be noted that Aukey went above-and-beyond the minimum required capabilities for what a 60W USB Power Delivery Charger needs to support. The USB Power Delivery specification requires all 60W chargers to provide at least 5V @ 3A, 9V @ 3A, 15V @ 3A, and 20V @ 3A modes, but this charger also provides an additional 12V @ 3A mode and a programmable 3 - 21V mode. The programmable mode future-proofs this charger and will enable it to fast-charge devices that can take advantage of it, and the 12V mode will enable some devices to charge a little faster than if only the 9V mode was supported.I really only have one problem with this charger, and it's that the USB-A ports can't simultaneously provide 2.4A on each individual port. On the Amazon product page, the capability of the USB-A charging ports is described differently depending on where you look. The item summary on the top of the page states "AiPower Tech: Equipped with AiPower Adaptive Charging Technology, two standard USB-A ports deliver safe and reliable charging power for all 5V USB gadgets at up to 2.4A across both ports"; I interpreted this as saying each of the USB-A ports was capable of supplying up to 2.4A. The lower right corner of the product description uses different, unambiguous language: "At the same time, refuel two standard USB-powered devices with a total output of 2.4A."The annoying consequence of shared 2.4A output on the two USB-A ports is that Aukey's AiPower Tech will offer 2.4A capability on both ports, and if you connect an iPad to one port, that one iPad will draw ~2.3A by itself, leaving the other port with a basically useless ~0.1A, or 0.5W until after the iPad is finished charging. This behavior is fine if you're going to let your devices charge overnight, but it's annoying when you hook up two devices for 30 mins, only to find that the wrong device got all the power.
Really feels solid. Power delivery plus two USB ports is great for me.
Does the job it's supposed to with no complaint. Did have a scare when I thought I lost the power cord that comes with it, but found it in my bag a while later.
