Awesome Dolby Atmos bar that lacks rumble!

Be careful when purchasing this unit. It doesn't have a subwoofer. You will get boom but no rumble. This sound bar is ideal for a bedroom. It has an amazing sound, but lacks serious bass. You will get bass, but nothing that shakes the room. I love that this bar connects to wifi and can auto update itself. I also like that you can stream to this bar from any room in the house. It's pretty cool. The coolest feature is the calibration feature. It sends out a sound wave across the room that can determine the best EQ settings based on your environment. It's pretty cool. I got this bar for $285 back in September and now it's like $400. I am assuming this is due to the pandemic and chip shortage. JBL has always been my go to for audio equipment.

Good connectivity to Google Home

I have been looking for a center channel speaker that integrates well both with the TV and Google Home and Nest Audio. The key statistic was its latency via Arc and the sync with Google Home audio, which this speaker did seamlessly. I wasn't looking for a sub woofer pair, so the base is okay, but good for an all in one speaker. not too big and not too small. very pleased so far.

Excellent sound quality, great bass with no subwoofer needed-- but a few considerations

JBL's products always stand out with how intense and accurate the sound is. I really liked this soundbar because my husband wasn't feeling like he needed a subwoofer to complete it. The immersive sound was quite impressive for a device in this price range. Both movies, games, and music sound awesome on it.Setting it up was very easy, and I haven't used a soundbar before that set itself up based on where the walls are in the room. Pretty dang impressive. For a device in this price range, that's an awesome feature.The bass is impressive. But my biggest complaint is that it's hard to turn the bass down. There are some adjustments, but ultimately I was not happy with not being able to turn it down enough. At really high volumes, sound can get a little sparkly, but thankfully we don't listen to things at that volume. Movies with a lot of music with bass in it can make it hard to hear what people are saying. I'm probably making it sound worse than it is. I am not a bass-lover with sensitive inner-ears.

The JBL 5.0 Sound Bar met my needs.

I like the JBL sound bar has all the latest technology features. It fits on my table in front my wall mounted TV. It’s sound quality is pretty good for its price. The bass level is the only thing you can control. I wish it would allow to control the mid and treble levels also. It does meet my needs however.

All you need for your TV!

This speaker is an incredible value! It works with chromecast, Bluetooth, and hdmi connections perfectly! All I had to do was plug it in, plug the hdmi from the HDMI Out port to my TV’s HDMI ARC port and I was done! My Android TV automatically connected after that asking me if I wanted all sound to be played through it, I hit yes, and I was done! The audio quality is fantastic! Make sure you turn on Dolby Atmos on your remote for the most immersive experience possible! I’m using this for my tv in my room which is fairly large but this speaker fills up the entire room so well I actually thought I was in a movie theater! The base is incredibly punchy and this can even be used for playing music. With music it sounds like you’re at a concert, with movies and shows it sounds like you’re in a theater, I don’t think it gets much better than this at this price point. The device has a nifty little display on the right side that shows you volume indicators, Dolby surround sound, and more! Make sure you set the included remote to TV as I originally had it set to HDMI but no Audio came from there so if you run into that, just push TV on your remote and you should be good to go! Other than that I can only say this is a spectacular speaker system and you’ll be more than satisfied with it!
