LibreELEC works great
Didn't get this to run the native Android, but to run LibreELEC as a dedicated Kodi box.Using Kszaq's 8.2.2.2 release on the internal storage (no need for Android for me).Install was fast and without problems.Both 1080p and 4k HDR mkvs play back over SMB without problem. HDR works perfectly and playback is smooth.Even though there are issues with GPU support,I'm not seeing any performance issues with playback of any file I've thrown at it. Audio passthrough also works perfectly including the HD audio formats. Don't use Atmos so can't comment on that.Was previously using an Nvidia SATV but because of lack of dynamic resolution and poor upscaling I looked for an alternate solution and found it with the this device and the community 912 build of LE.

Had to uninstall kodi and tweak
Great little box so far but there is a learning curve for beginners to understand how things work together. Watched tons of YouTubers videos until I found the build I liked and it took a bit of tweaking. I had to uninstall kodi and reinstall an older version. My understanding is that a variety of apps and developers have not updated to keep up with the newer version of kodi. Runs nice most of the time with exception of a freeze up occasionally...which probably has more to do with the app than the box. I am just beginning cutting the cable shackles but so far after a couple days of research I have been able to explore this new world of free tv and I am pretty much in awe. Minix gyro remote with qwerty keyboard purchased at the same time helped with typing for set up...point and click mouse feature drives me crazy cause the darn pointer seems to drift alot. Was looking for a way to contact minix support to find out if its me or the remote. Minix please reach out and assist me it would be appreciated. I recommend this box to friends that also want to cut the cable cord.

Wonderful box, terrible remote.
I've had this box for a few months. I absolutely love it! I've had a couple boxes from Matricom and an Amazon Fire TV box.. I think this one kicks both of their butts.I had some issues with this box at first, because of a couple apps I was using, but I figured out the issue and it was my own fault, not the box's.The remote that comes with this thing is the reason why I took a star off. It's absolutely terrible! You can't do anything with it. Might as well have not even come with a remote. I have a Favormates air mouse that is powered by a couple rechargeable AAA batteries and it's got a backlit QWERTY keyboard on the back.. It works fantastically!... The included remote is very frustrating to use and not even worth attempting to be honest with you. Just get one with another remote included or buy a separate one with the features you are wanting...Anyway... I use this box to watch TV and movies, and play a few Google play store games. I also have some learning apps on there for learning another language.I've got my screen set so that I have a 5 day weather forecast and most of my TV and movie apps are on the home screen. I also have a radar program, so I can watch the storms, as well as my local news station apps and lottery results. It runs things like Netflix and Hulu, no problem, as well as things like Sling TV, kodi and any apk or app that plays anything.It's got a nice size internal hard drive, and plenty of room for USB drives and stuff.It picks up the wifi connection very well. I know that the best connection is via ethernet, but I can't use that where my box is currently located.. The wifi works great, though!I'm extremely happy with my purchase! I just wish their default remote was better. Amazon and Matricom both have them beat in that department... But with an external remote, there's no comparison. I love this box!
