Great for travel

We use this primarily for travel. It allows us to use our Hulu + Live, Netflix, Prime, YouTube, etc accounts on most hotel televisions. It also casts our Emby server content remotely and works great. You have to use your phone as a "remote" but still very convenient.

Great Picture and Quality Sound!

My daughter uses her Google Chromecast in her bedroom to watch TV. She is very "picky" about the picture on her TV as well as sound quality. She has said that the picture is very good with excellent detail and the sound quality will blow you out of the room. Thank you, Amazon!!!!

Be aware that you need a mobile device and share your device location

It doesn't say this up front, but during setup, it is clear that you must have phone, and agree to share your location, in order to setup the device. Their older version of Chromecast device didn't require this (older version can use laptop).

Love it- once I figured it out.

I love it. A little trick to set up- mostly because I am not familiar with technology. But now I have it set up, it’s great. We don’t have cable and a dumb tv. Makes streaming from my iPhone very easy!

Its worth it

I love my chromecast. Any website or app I watch stuff on I can stream to my tv with it. Besides that I do like being able to use my pics from my google or facebook as screen savers.
