Works as advertised but worse than it's competitors.
I make youtube videos reviewing streaming players and I have to say the chromecast is probably my least favorite tv streaming device. On the positive side it works as advertised and does what it's supposed to, but it can be a hassle to use given you have to use your phone to cast the video stream instead of just using a dedicated remote. This becomes an issue for instance if you're charging your phone. My current ranking of the streaming devices I have would be as follows:1. Nvidia Shield2. Roku Streaming devices/ Roku TV3. Android TV Boxes (cheaper alternative to Nvidia Shield)4. Amazon Fire TV Devices5. ChromecastChromecast would be so much better if it had the option to use the Android TV OS with a dedicated remote.
