Samsung Galaxy A57 to use a new chipset
Samsung Galaxy A57 to use a new chipset as Samsung prepares to introduce the successor to the Galaxy A56, which was launched in March and powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset. According to recent reports, the upcoming A57 is expected to feature a new processor — the Exynos 1680 SoC — and will likely make its debut in 2026.
The Exynos 1680 is rumored to carry the model number S5E8865 and is internally codenamed “Terra.” While specific technical details about the chipset are still under wraps, it’s expected to incorporate an Xclipse GPU, continuing the trend set by its predecessor, the Exynos 1580.
With the Galaxy A57’s official launch still a while away, more information about its chipset is likely to surface in the coming months. The Exynos 1580 delivered a significant performance boost over the previous 1480, and expectations are high that the 1680 will push the mid-range capabilities even further, offering improved speed and efficiency.
