Apple is bringing Visual Intelligence to the iPhone 15 Pro

Apple has confirmed that Visual Intelligence, its AI-powered feature similar to Google Lens, will be coming to the iPhone 15 Pro in a future software update. Initially introduced with the iPhone 16 lineup in September, the feature allows users to point their phone’s camera at objects to gather more information about them. While the iPhone 16 models launched this feature via the Camera Control button, Apple has now announced that it will be available on the iPhone 16E through the Action Button—the same customizable button present on the iPhone 15 Pro. This naturally raised the question of whether the iPhone 15 Pro would also get Visual Intelligence, and Apple has now confirmed that it will.

For iPhone 15 Pro users, Visual Intelligence will be accessible via the Action Button as well as the Control Center, giving them multiple ways to launch the tool. While Apple representatives did not specify exactly when the feature would roll out, well-known Apple commentator John Gruber of Daring Fireball speculates that it could be included in iOS 18.4, which is expected to be available to the public in early April.
