Apple Closer To Bringing No-Prick Glucose Monitoring To The Watch
Apple is getting closer to creating a blood glucose monitoring feature for its Apple Watch that doesn’t require users to prick their finger for a blood sample. The company has reportedly been working on the technology for five years and is now believed to be trialling the feature on employees. The innovation would allow the device’s sensors to continually monitor glucose levels. Secondly, for users to be alerted if their levels fall outside of a healthy range. It could prove to be a game-changer for people with diabetes. For whom pricking the finger multiple times a day is a daily ordeal.
