Following the release of MINIX NEO P2 earlier this year, the company released its second GaN Wall Charger called MINIX NEO P1. GnN stands for Gallium Nitride (GaN) Technology, which enables significantly smaller form factors and maintains relatively high 65W maximal output.

What is Minix Tv box?

It is a Google Android TV certified set-top box. You connect the HDMI 2.1 cable to any TV or monitor and turn it into Android TV with Chromecast

The maximum image quality depends on the quality of your TV or monitor. Minix’s main job is to provide proper video and audio transmission. If the TV is old or has problems, they will still be there.

 

Setup – easy

Plug the HDMI 2.1 cable into the monitor/TV. Power up the box and use the remote or your Android smartphone to set up Android TV. You can use an Ethernet LAN cable or Wi-Fi AC.

You can use the USB-A ports to add a keyboard or mouse. Also, we noticed that a wireless keyboard (via a USB dongle) replaces some remote functions.

Are Minix Chargers good?

We did a quick test and tried to charge a Huawei P40 Pro phone. We started with a 45 percent charge of the phone, and within 15 minutes, the battery was over 70 percent, or an additional 25 percent. Half an hour after the experiment began, the battery exceeded 31 percent. Thirty-five minutes from start, battery 35 percent charged. The battery charged to 90 percent or exceeded 45 percent in 46 minutes. It should be noted that the battery charges relatively slowly after 80 percent.

 

Also we tested a 2018 Dell XPS 13-inch model. The charger worked fine, and it also worked on a Galaxy S Book with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8CX. It was charging the laptop just fine. It also charged the phone or Bluetooth headphones via a type-A cable, a little slower, but it worked too.

Moreover, MINIX NEO P1 is very small, compact and will support all country specific voltages and plugs once we start actively traveling next year. It’s a great mix of build quality, power, and size, and the fact that it’ll quickly charge all three of your devices simultaneously is beneficial. It’ll also free up some power outlets in the home and you’ll still be able to service three devices simultaneously.
